I think markets are really cool, and I see them as a lens for understanding the world around us. Markets are nothing more than systems that convey information using prices. Virtually everything has a price, so everything has a market. These can comprise just a handful of individuals, companies, governments, or other entities.
I write about who the participants are, what drives them and how they relate with each other in order to learn about how the world works.
Using this perspective means virtually everything is fair game. I’m an economist and I invest in public markets through my firm, Panorama, so a lot of my writing will focus on topics that affect equities markets in Nigeria - although I like to maintain a global perspective.
I hope that I can refine my own thinking and generate thoughtful discussions with other market participants and curious people.
